Deep Dive

Why native integration changes the client experience at booking

Service agreements, consent forms, and engagement letters traditionally travel through the same awkward workflow: the professional emails a PDF, the client signs and emails it back, and the professional processes the returned document before scheduling begins. This creates delay, admin overhead, and the risk that meetings happen before formal agreements are in place. The Schedly + DocuSign integration automates this entirely — a new booking triggers automatic envelope delivery, and agreements arrive signed before the first meeting.

"The Signature Gate closes the compliance gap completely. No signature, no confirmed booking."

The Signature Gate: closing the compliance gap

When Signature Gate is enabled, Schedly holds the booking in a pending-confirmed state and sends the DocuSign envelope immediately. The booking is only fully confirmed — and the calendar invite sent — once DocuSign reports the envelope as completed. This closes the compliance gap that exists when agreements are sent after booking: clients arrive at appointments without signed agreements, professionals chase signatures manually, and the relationship starts on unsteady ground.

Per-event-type templates: precision without complexity

Different services carry different legal and compliance requirements. An initial consultation needs a different document set than a paid retainer, a patient intake, or a high-value project kickoff. Schedly's per-event-type template selection attaches exactly the right DocuSign template to each booking type — configure once, automate permanently.
