How to Switch from Appointy to Schedly
Appointy's free plan caps you at 5 services and 100 appointments per month. When you hit those limits — usually within weeks of growing — you're forced to upgrade. Switching to Schedly gives you unlimited services and unlimited bookings on the free plan, with a more modern client-facing experience.
Complete migration guide
Follow these steps in order. Each takes 2–5 minutes.
Create your Schedly account
Sign up at schedly.io for free. No credit card required. Unlimited services and bookings from day one.
Schedly Free removes the artificial caps that drove you to evaluate an alternative.
Note your Appointy service configurations
Review each Appointy service: name, duration, price, buffer time, and availability. You'll recreate these as Schedly event types.
This is also a chance to clean up old services you no longer offer.
Connect your calendar
Connect Google Calendar or Outlook to Schedly. Your availability syncs in real-time — more reliable than Appointy's availability management.
Connect personal and work calendars both to prevent double-bookings.
Recreate services as event types
Create a Schedly event type for each Appointy service. All event types are unlimited on Schedly — no 5-service ceiling.
Test each event type immediately after creation.
Set up intake forms and reminders
Add intake questions and configure email reminders. For SMS reminders, upgrade to Schedly Pro at $24/month.
Email reminders are included free and significantly reduce no-shows on their own.
Update links and cancel Appointy
Update your website, email signature, and social profiles with your Schedly link. Cancel Appointy once confirmed live.
Export client data from Appointy before canceling.

What you gain by switching to Schedly
No service or booking caps
Schedly Free has no limits on services or bookings. Appointy's free plan caps at 5 services and 100 bookings/month.
More modern booking experience
Schedly's mobile-first booking pages convert better than Appointy's older interface.
SMS reminders available
Schedly Pro at $24/month includes SMS reminders. Equivalent SMS functionality in Appointy requires a higher-tier plan.
Cleaner admin interface
Schedly's admin is focused and fast. Appointy's admin interface has more feature overlap and can feel cluttered.
Watch out for these migration gotchas
Social media booking buttons
If you use Appointy's Instagram or Facebook booking integration, note that Schedly's social media booking is on the roadmap but not yet released. Update those channels with a direct link to your Schedly booking page.
Export before canceling
Export your client list and appointment history from Appointy before canceling your subscription.
The Cost of Artificial Limits: Why Appointy Users Switch
Appointy's free plan is attractive — until you hit 5 services or 100 bookings in a month. At that point, the free plan stops working for your business and you're faced with a paid upgrade to continue operating. This cap-driven upgrade model is a business decision, not a technical constraint. Schedly's free plan removes the caps entirely.
Unlimited Scheduling From Day One
Schedly Free gives you every service type your business offers and every booking your clients make — no monthly ceiling, no upgrade pressure from volume. The free plan runs your scheduling indefinitely. You upgrade to Pro when you want features, not when you hit arbitrary limits.
The Migration Takes Under 30 Minutes
The actual work of switching from Appointy to Schedly — recreating services, connecting your calendar, updating your booking link — takes 15-25 minutes for most solo or small-team businesses. The result is a scheduling setup that doesn't create upgrade pressure from success.
